Today was an awesome workout! I did legs, back and abs. My legs were shaking so much during this workout. I did a ton of lunges, squats and calf raises. I can't get over these workouts...they are crazy, but I love it! I think the thing I enjoy most about the legs and back workout is that I don't know the same thing and the rotation between legs and back is awesome. I do 2 sets of leg workouts and then do a set of pull ups. So your legs get a little break while you do pull ups. I did a total of 78 pull ups today and I was quite proud of myself for that. I am so excited to see the changes in my body at the end of week 13!!! Tomorrow is my favorite workout of the week and that is Kenpo so stay tuned for that blog tomorrow night!
For my devotional today, I just want to share the lyrics to a song. I was listening to it today and I just love the simplicity of the message; and yet it is so difficult to do sometimes. The song is "Walk By Faith" by Jeremy Camp. The chorus just says that I will walk by faith even when I can't see. I love that line because that's what this Christian life is all about, walking by faith. It's so simple, but we find it hard to do sometimes. As humans we want to know what's coming next and we want to have control over our lives. But you see the beauty of our faith journey is that we don't have to know what is coming next and we don't have control. Because God knows what our every move is and by walking in faith we know that He will guide our steps. I love this quote by Martin Luther King Jr, he says, "Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase." I think how true that statement is; faith calls us to step out and believe that God will come through. Because the truth is we don't know what is coming next, we can plan all we want but ultimately God will guide us in the direction He has for our lives. All we need to do is take that first step of faith and walk side by side with God on this journey!
